The Maynard Bauer Leadership Fund
Maynard Bauer was Superintendent of the Bay Village Public Schools for 15 years, from 1974 to 1989. Mr. Bauer also helped to establish the Bay Village Education Foundation, later serving as its President and Finance Chair. Mr. Bauer is currently an Emeritus Trustee of the Foundation.
In recognition of Maynard Bauer’s extraordinary contributions to excellence in education and leadership in the community, the MBFL was established in 2011 to fund grants focused on the development and encouragement of leadership skills and motivation in the students of Bay Village Schools.

Funding for two students to attend summer camp focused on fostering leadership.

“FIRST Robotics Competition”
Funding to pay registration fee for the Bay High Robotics Team (Quantum Steam) to enter its very first competition, the FIRST Robotics Competition Buckeye Regional at Cleveland State University. Quantum Steam has participated in this competition every year since!

“Positive Coach Alliance Leadership Training”
Funding to pay fees for Bay High School to partner with Positive Coach Alliance (PCA) and receive live interactive workshops, year round support from PCA and access to the PSA website. Since this initial funding, Bay High School has continued its partnership with PCA.
